But like with all things travel, some of our mistakes make for the best stories! Glad to hear you all talking about resolving tricky expenses like mobile phone plans while abroad—local SIM cards are definitely the way to do it as you mentioned.
We frequently travel Europe and pick up local SIMs for maybe $10-20 for a couple of weeks of use. Lots cheaper than using your US plan while abroad.
