Call them what you want, usage, doctrine, customs or traditions, a big part of travel is learning about the world, and the people who live there and what better way is there to bond with them than learning about their customs? And what may seem odd to us, to many, having a festival to throw tomatoes, a nationwide water fight, or chasing cheese down a hill, are common local festivities that are rich in history and heritage.
